Permits have been issued for the construction of a 20-unit multi-family building at 5900 Germantown Avenue in Germantown, Northwest Philadelphia. The new building will rise five stories tall and will feature a cellar, a roof deck, and bicycle storage. In total, the building will hold 20,634 square feet of space, with construction costs estimated at $3.25 million.
An updated design has been revealed for 6134-46 Wayne Avenue, a development proposed in Morton, Northwest Philadelphia. Designed by ALMA Architecture, the complex includes the mixture of townhouses and multi-family apartment buildings, all situated next to SEPTA’s Tulpehocken regional rail station. Upon completion, 78 residential units will be included in the development, with 60 in the multi-family building, and the remaining 18 in the two-family townhomes. The project also includes 24 parking spaces and 6,840 square feet of amenity space, with the latter located within the multi-family building.
Work is underway on 4442 Ridge Avenue, a 136-unit mixed-use development located in East Falls, Northwest Philadelphia. YIMBY first shared the development with readers in January, when permits were issued for the building’s construction. Designed by HDO Architecture, the 174,544-square-foot structure will rise six stories tall, with a commercial space on the ground floor fronting Ridge Avenue. Parking will also be situated on the ground floor with additional spaces to be situated underground.

The building will hold 48,615 square feet of interior space. Permits state that construction costs are estimated at $3 million.
Renderings have been revealed for The Royale, a 77-unit building proposed at 6910 Ridge Avenue in Roxborough, Northwest Philadelphia. Designed by M Architects and developed by Stamm Development Group, the structure will rise four stories, with parking included at the ground floor. The modern exterior will stand out along the corridor. Towards the front, brightly colored cladding will cover the top three floors as the most prominent feature of the structure. The ground floor will include the entrance to the drive aisle. The rear portion will feature gray brick, adding more texture and contrast to the design. Windows will alternate in width, creating a pattern that will be a notable feature of the structure, while allowing a large amount of natural light to reach the interior.
