The structure will replace a vacant lot on the northwest side of the block between Priscilla and Morris streets, and will span a ground footprint of 924 square feet. Renderings have been revealed for a four-story, 90-unit multi-family development at 90 Rochelle Avenue in Wissahickon, Northwest Philadelphia. Designed by JKRP Architects, the building will include 15 parking spaces, one of which will be ADA Compliant and two will be reserved for electric vehicles.
The development boom on the East Falls waterfront continues unabated with the start of the construction on a major residential development near the left bank of the Schuylkill River. Method Co. and Cimbra Partners have recently announced the groundbreaking of a five-story, 142-unit rental development at 4300 Ridge Avenue. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects, the 135,000-square-foot complex will feature a wide array of resident amenities, while 10,450 square feet of retail and a public art installation, undertaken in conjunction with the city’s Percent for Art Program, will enliven the pedestrian experience.
Permits have been issued for interior renovations of 260 West Johnson Street in Germantown, Northwest Philadelphia. The project will create six residential units within the existing three-story structure. An additional apartment will be added within a carriage house also located on the property, adding a total of seven units to the lot. Greenzang Incorporated is the contractor for the project. Construction costs are estimated at $170,000.
Renderings have been revealed for Chelten Terminal, a 45-unit mixed-use development set to rise at 234 West Chelten Avenue in Germantown, Northwest Philadelphia. Designed by Ambit Architecture and developed by the Argo Property Group, the building will rise four stories tall, with a commercial space located on the ground floor and residential units above. The project will also include 36 parking spaces.
