The Market East neighborhood is notable for its large number of hotels, and another one will soon join their ranks. Renderings have been released for the Blue Ivy Hotel, a 200-foot-tall structure at 122 South 11th Street. Designed by DAS Architects and developed by the Estia Group the property would rise across the street from Jefferson University Hospital Emergency and contain 86 rooms.

The exterior features large paneled windows, aluminum cladding, and bronze accents. A projecting cornice outlines the roof. Balconies, arranged in diagonal arrays, will offer dramatic views from the upper floors. The project includes a two-level restaurant with seating for 193 plus 23 more at the bar area.

The project sits within a rapidly developing area. Nearby projects include the two towers proposed within the East Market development and a 23-story high-rise proposed at 1101 Walnut Street.

No anticipated completion date has been announced.
