Recently, Philadelphia YIMBY toured a pair of completed model units at the 18th floor of Arthaus, a 542-foot, 47-story residential skyscraper under construction at 311 South Broad Street in Center City. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox, the tower will house 108 condominium units. The property is being was developed by Dranoff Properties, which also built and owns the Symphony House high-rise located across Broad Street to the southwest.

The skyscraper’s exterior features a striking mix of glass and white metal, creating a dramatic effect as sunlight affects the building’s appearance through the day. The residences feature blazing interiors, with floor-to-ceiling glass illuminating the units in ample natural light, with materials and furniture specifically selected to blend into the bright environment.

Though the units appear complete, the building is still an active construction site, where numerous construction workers were present on location at the time of our visit. The tour started at the northwest corner of the site on Broad Street, leading through the podium to the future lobby to construction elevators, which service both workers and visitors. The elevator then travels up to the 18th floor along the west side of the skyscraper. The tours are open weekly for the public.

The floor features two units completed for the tours, as a section of the building on the west side is left incomplete for the sales to be presented to viewers as they get off the elevator. The first unit featured high-quality finishes such as marble walls, hardwood floors, ornate chandeliers, and colorful furniture that pops in the sunlight. The second unit offered much more flexibility, with a greater amount of floor space and the furniture selected with a theme of modernity and luxury. The units also feature bedrooms, bathrooms, and balconies for future residents to enjoy.
