The building will span 3,700 square feet across a basement and three upper floors, replacing a vacant lot. Permits list Cadre Design & Development as architect of record and RF Builders LLC as the contractor.
The Virgin Hotels proposal at 500 South Broad Street in Rittenhouse Square, Center City, has been revamped with a new design. Designed by SITIO Architects + Urbanism and developed by The Badger Group and Goldenberg Group LLC, the 468-unit development now known as Broad and Lombard will now boast a tower that will stand 542 feet (alternately pictured at 573 feet) and 43 stories tall. The project involves a renovation of the Philadelphia Department of Public Health Building, with work helmed by Voith and MacTavish Architects. The new tower will echo the design of the Public Health Building and will stand tall in the Philadelphia skyline.

Developer RREI LLC, run by the father-son team of Neal and Victor Rodin, has announced the completion of the $16 million purchase of the 105,899-square-foot lot at 501 Spring Garden Street (aka 501-39 Spring Garden Street) in Northern Liberties, North Philadelphia, where they plan to construct a large mixed-use project. Designed by BLT Architects, the 13-story building will feature 382 residences and 60,810 square feet of retail, as well as 211 parking spaces. The acquisition was complicated by the site’s ownership being split between 11 different entities, and took five years to complete as the result. Having finally completed the transaction, the team is ready for the next steps in adding this important project to the up-and-coming neighborhood.
Permits have been issued for the construction of a new three-unit residential building at 2313 Green Street in Fairmount, North Philadelphia. The approved building permit calls for a three-story building to be constructed at the rear of a lot that already contains an existing building with six dwelling units. Together, the existing building and the new rear structure will bring the property to a total of nine dwelling units. The zoning permit also approves the removal of an existing one-story garage on the lot. HYBAR Construction LLC is listed as contractor. LO Design Company LLC is responsible for the designs.
