The building will hold 28 apartments and a ground floor commercial space on Ridge Avenue. The five-story structure will provide 23,665 square feet of space within its 6,380-square-foot footprint. The units are set to be a mixture of one- and two-bedroom apartments. CANNOdesign is the project architect. Khosla Properties is the developer. Construction costs are estimated at $3.9 million.

A five-story, 160-unit residential complex is proposed at 2630 West Girard Avenue in Brewerytown, North Philadelphia. Designed by ISA and developed by a ADCO (American Development Company) and Callahan Ward, the 127,200-square-foot development will span roughly three-quarters of the city block. The complex will include 9,300 square feet of ground-level retail, parking for 46 vehicles and 56 bicycles, two shared roof decks, and 34 private terraces.

Piazza Terminal, a 1,144-Unit Mixed-Use Complex, Underway at 1075 Germantown Avenue in Northern Liberties, North Philadelphia

Construction is underway at Piazza Terminal, a multi-building, mixed-use complex at 1075 Germantown Avenue in Northern Liberties, North Philadelphia. The complex will span 1,166,980 square feet of floor space, with slightly over half of the space (around 682,000 square feet) dedicated to 1,144 market-rate residential units. Much of the rest of the space will be dedicated to functions such as retail, which will cluster around a central public promenade. The project is being built by Post Brothers, a locally based developer with a headquarters immediately south of the site, and is designed by the BKV Group.

In the summer of 2019, construction started on a five-story mixed-use building at 1836-1844 East York Street in Kensington. The five-story development spans a 5,233-square-foot lot and features around 24,600 square feet of floor space, with commercial space at the ground level and 19 residential units above, topped with a roof deck. Kore Design Architecture has released two variations of the design, though both maintain the essential concept of a boxy mass with gently flared projections at the street-facing façade.

Mixed-Use Residential Building Proposed for Suburban Square at 49 St. George’s Road in Ardmore, PA

A five-story mixed-use residential and retail structure is proposed at 49 St. George’s Road in Ardmore, PA. The building will add 150 residences and 10,000 to 15,000 square feet of retail space to Suburban Square, completing the shopping mall’s multi-phase transformation into a mixed-use “lifestyle center.” Developer Kimco Realty Trust expects a groundbreaking late next year or at the start of 2022.
