New Renderings Revealed for the Schuylkill Yards Complex in University City, West Philadelphia

The skyline of University City, West Philadelphia, has started to transform again as a large number of developments are on the way to change its profile. Among these, the 14-acre Schuylkill Yards development is on top of the list, which counts several confirmed towers: 3001 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, 3025 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, and 3151 Market Street along with 3025 Market Street, and Drexel Square. The east tower and 326-unit west tower were designed by the Practice for Architecture and Urbanism, while 3151 Market Street was designed by Gensler. The entire project was developed by Brandywine Realty Trust.

Construction Approaches Halfway Point at 3025 JFK Boulevard in University City, West Philadelphia

A recent site visit by Philly YIMBY has revealed that concrete assembly is nearly at the halfway point at 3025 JFK Boulevard, a 361-foot-tall, 28-story mixed-use tower at 3025 John F. Kennedy Boulevard at University City, West Philadelphia. Designed by the Practice for Architecture and Urbanism and developed by Brandywine Realty Trust, with Hunter Roberts Construction Group as the contractor, the building, also known as Schuylkill Yards West, will span 559,583 square feet, with commercial and laboratory space on the lower floors with 326 residential floors situated above. The building is the first major high-rise to be built as part of the 14-acre Schuylkill Yards megadevelopment. Construction at 3025 JFK Boulevard is expected to cost $180 million.

Kennedy Boulevard, the latest tower rising in the area, has reached a new milestone as curtain wall assembly has begun. In University City, West Philadelphia, a new cluster of towers ascends, joining the skyline just to the west of Center City. Of these, the largest development currently underway is just to the west of the 30th Street Station, dubbed Schuylkill Yards. Located at 3025 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, the first tower of the 14-acre project (also known as Schuylkill Yards West) is now popping into view from various areas. Designed by the Practice for Architecture and Urbanism and developed by Brandywine Realty Trust, the 326-unit tower will eventually stand at a height of 361 feet and 28 stories and will hold lab and office space on the lower floors and residential units above.

The team behind Schuylkill Yards West at 3025 John F. Kennedy has announced that a groundbreaking has been scheduled for March. The 361-foot-tall, 28-story tower will be the first of the skyscrapers planned at the 14-acre Schuylkill Yards megaproject, which is developed by Brandywine Realty Trust. The building was designed by Practice for Architecture and Urbanism, which has also designed the vibrant red 3001 John F. Kennedy Boulevard that will rise to the east. The building will house retail and 326 residential units, which will be serviced by a large amenity terrace. The building will also feature office and lab space on the podium floors.
