Permits have been filed for the demolition of a vacant three-story prewar rowhouse at 2435 Redner Street in Sharswood, North Philadelphia. The former single-family dwelling sits on the north side of the block between North 24th Street and North 25th Street and will be torn down as part of the City of Philadelphia Demolition Program at a cost of $11,740. The Philadelphia Housing Authority is the listed owner. Pedro Palmer Construction Inc. is the listed contractor.

The building is clad with a tan and gray stone veneer at the first and second floor, with the face of the third floor angled back and clad in light gray siding. As part of the work, once the demolition is complete, an erosion control mat with seed on lot will be installed. No sidewalk work will be performed. The structure, which once stood as part of a building row, currently sits with vacant lots to either side. Last month, Philly YIMBY reported that permits were filed for the demolition of a nearby vacant building at 2439 Redner Street.

The 3 bus is located at the corner of Cecil B. Moore Avenue and North 25th Street three short blocks to the north of the property. Nine blocks to the south and one block to the east is the Big Picture Philadelphia high school, located at 2300 Master Street. Five long blocks to the north is the William Dick School, located at 2498 West Diamond Street. Temple University sits within a 20-minute walk to the northeast.
