Philly YIMBY’s recent site visit has revealed that construction is complete at a three-story multi-family building at 1834 North 18th Street in Cecil B. Moore, North Philadelphia, near Temple University. The property is located on the west side of the block between West Berks Street and West Montgomery Avenue. The building will have a footprint that spans 1,829 square feet. Philadelphia Housing Authority is the listed owner. The development will replace a vacant three-story, brick-clad prewar building. The new structure will have a basement with egress wells and a roof deck along with an access structure.

A recent site visit by Philly YIMBY revealed no signs of construction at a 67-unit multi-family development at 1015 South 3rd Street in Queen VillageSouth Philadelphia. Designed by HDO Architecture, the building will stand four stories tall. The unit count was increased via zoning bonuses coming from the project’s inclusion of low-income housing and a green roof. The project will include 23 bicycle spaces as well as an additional four more at the sidewalk.

Foundation work is making significant headway at 300 Christian Street, the site of a new multi-family development in Queen VillageSouth Philadelphia. Designed by Ambit Architecture, the new building will rise three stories tall and hold 30 residential units, as well as underground parking for 11 cars and 14 bicycles. A roof deck will be located at the top of the building, offering amenity space for residents.

At the start of the year, Philly YIMBY announced that partial permits were filed for Village Square on Haverford, a multi-family development at 3611 Haverford Avenue in Mantua, West Philadelphia. Today we look at the renderings for the 166-unit multi-family development that will span several adjacent sites on two blocks bordered by Haverford Avenue to the south, Wallace Street to the north, North 36th Street to the east, and North 39th Street to the west. Designed by WRT and developed by Lomax Real Estate Partners and the Mount Vernon Community Development Corporation, the project will consist of several buildings ranging from three to six stories and will offer retail, a mix of rental and condominium units, green promenades, and public art.
