A recent site visit by Philly YIMBY has documented construction at a three-story, eight-unit multi-family building at 5007 Pentridge Street in Cedar ParkWest Philadelphia. Designed by Ambit Architecture, the project rises on the north side of the block between South 50th and South 51st streets. The development will span around 6,500 square feet (including cellar space). Permits list Baltimore Select Properties LLC aka Select Redevelopment as the contractor, and a construction cost of $850,000.

Permits have been issued for the construction of a 15-unit residential building at 6712 Ridge Avenue in Roxborough, Northwest Philadelphia. The building will comprise a portion of The Ridgemont, a two-building, 18-unit development that also includes the renovation of an adjacent rowhouse that dates to 1890. The building, located on the southwest side of the block between between Frankford Avenue and Amber Street, will rise five stories and feature ground-floor commercial space as well as 21 residential units. Designed by Ambit Architecture, the structure will span 21,168 square feet and will feature parking for seven bicycles. Permits list Grit Construction as the contractor and a construction cost of $2.75 million.

Construction Progresses at 300 Christian Street in Queen Village, South Philadelphia

Foundation work is making significant headway at 300 Christian Street, the site of a new multi-family development in Queen VillageSouth Philadelphia. Designed by Ambit Architecture, the new building will rise three stories tall and hold 30 residential units, as well as underground parking for 11 cars and 14 bicycles. Construction continues to make steady progress at a four-story, 42-unit residential development at 1408-18 East Oxford Street in Fishtown, Kensington. Designed by Ambit Architecture, the development will span 41,211 square feet and feature 32 parking spaces and full sprinkling. Renderings indicate that the project will be called the National Metal Crafters Building, as seen from a large marquee at the parapet and a smaller sign at the street level.
