Possible Height Change Revealed for 113-121 South 19th Street in Rittenhouse Square, Center City

Recently published permits reveal that another height change is possible for 113-121 South 19th Street in Rittenhouse Square, Center City. The permit states that the building will now stand 52 stories, meaning it will likely have a height above 600 feet. Designed by DAS Architecture and Partners, the 267,874 square-foot tower will have 215 residential units and 30,180 square feet of commercial space. The design will feature slender profile and will be clad in light and dark and light shades. The building was developed by Pearl Properties, which was also behind The Harper located nearby.

Topping Out Ceremony Held At The Laurel Rittenhouse In Rittenhouse Square, Center City

On September 28th, a topping out ceremony was held on the 47th floor of The Laurel Rittenhouse at 1911 Walnut Street in Rittenhouse Square, Center City. Designed by Solomon Cornwell Buenz and developed by the Southern Land Company, with the Harman Group as the structural engineer, the tower now stands at its final height of 599 feet and 48 stories. The building stands prominently in the Philadelphia skyline over the course of this year and is now clearly visible from the southern direction. The building will include 185 rental units and 64 luxury condominiums, as well as amenity space, retail, and an Equinox gym for residents.

YIMBY Observes the Arthaus, The Laurel Rittenhouse, and the Rising Philadelphia Skyline from the Walt Whitman Bridge

A few months ago, during the beginning of spring, Philadelphia YIMBY published a feature that looked at major developments in Center City from the Walt Whitman Bridge. This 378-foot-tall, green-painted suspension bridge was completed in 1957, and has since transported millions of people between Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The bridge span rises 153 feet above the Delaware River, and offers a fantastic view of the skyline to the northwest. The western side connects to the sports complex in South Philadelphia, while the east side joins Gloucester City, NJ. In this new feature, Philadelphia YIMBY presents an updated look at several major developments in the skyline as seen from the bridge.

Concrete Core Topped Out at The Laurel Rittenhouse in Rittenhouse Square, Center City

The concrete structure has topped out at The Laurel Rittenhouse at 1911 Walnut Street in Rittenhouse Square, Center City. Developed by the Southern Land Company and designed by Solomon Cornwell Buenz, a team that is also collaborating on a residential tower underway nearby at 1620 Sansom Street, The Lauren Rittenhouse rises just to the northwest of Rittenhouse Square Park. The building already stands 49 stories tall, and will shortly rise to its final planned height of 599 feet. The development will feature 185 rental units and 64 luxury condominiums.
