Renderings Revealed for 2400-04 Frankford Avenue in Fishtown

Rendering have been revealed for a 16-unit mixed-use development at 2400-04 Frankford Avenue in Fishtown, Kensington. Designed by Canno Design and developed by Khosla Properties, the new building will rise four stories tall, with a retail space on the ground floor and residential units above. The building will boast a stately exterior, comprised entirely of gray brick. Throughout the façade, rows and columns of bricks project forward, creating a unique texture on the building. The southeast corner of the building will be rounded, creating a fluid look that will accentuate the intersection.

Construction Progresses On The Maven In Francisville, North Philadelphia

Construction is making rapid progress on The Maven, a 28-unit mixed-use development at 1533 Ridge Avenue in FrancisvilleNorth Philadelphia. When completed, the building will rise five stories tall and include a commercial space in the ground floor. The units will consist of studios, one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms. Canno Design is behind the architectural work for the project, with Khosla Properties developing it, and Tester Construction taking up the contracting work. The building will hold 23,665 square feet of space and will cost an estimated $3.9 million to build.

Philadelphia YIMBY Presents Massing Renderings of Two New CHOP Towers

A month ago, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia unveiled two new towers that are part of a $3.4 billion plan that will add considerable bulk to the University City skyline in West Philadelphia. On the University City side, the University-City-Tower at the presumed address 3401 Civic Center Boulevard will rise across the street from the CHOP Buerger Center for Advanced Pediatric Care at 3500 Civic Center Boulevard. On the Southwest Center City side, 690 Schuylkill Avenue will stand to the northeast of the CHOP Robert’s Center for Advanced Research as the tower, right next to the iconic South Street Bridge.
