Renderings have been revealed for Walnut View At Cityplace, a 57-unit multi-family development located at 909 West Walnut Street in Allentown, PA, a city situated at the northern fringe of the greater Philadelphia metropolitan area. Upon completion, the building will rise five stories and will feature a mix of one- and two-bedroom units. Each apartment will include a washer and dryer, gourmet kitchen, walk-in closet, and energy-efficient lighting. Amenity space will be located around the corner from the development at Cityplace South, an under-construction 78-unit development that YIMBY shared with readers in March.

Construction is making steady progress at Matson Mill, a 280-unit multi-family development at 101 Washington Street in Conshohocken, PA, a town situated two miles to the northwest of the Philadelphia city line. A topping-out ceremony was held on June 29th, when an American flag was hoisted atop one of the gabled pinnacles at the five-story-tall, 426,000-square-foot structure. The project team includes Hord Coplan Macht as the architect; High Street Residential as the developer; IMC Construction as the construction manager; Structura, Inc. as the structural engineer; Bohler Engineering as the civil engineer; and Girard Engineering, PC as the MEP engineer.

The Station at Willow Grove, a 275-Unit Mixed-Use Development in Willow Grove, PA, is Fully Leased

J.G Petrucci Co. Inc. and Petrucci Residential, the developers and owners of The Station at Willow Grove at 91 North York Road in Willow Grove, PA, have recently announced that the mixed-use development is now fully leased. Located four miles north of the Philadelphia city line, the five-story development holds 20,000 square feet of ground-level retail and 275 rental residential units. Construction costs were estimated at $75 million. The building sits across from the Willow Grove Station on the SEPTA Warminser Line, which offers direct commute to Center City. As such, the project is a positive example of dense, pedestrian-friendly development that should be encouraged throughout the area’s rail-serviced suburban towns.

The Soleil Condo-Hotel Resort Receives Approval in Ocean City, NJ

The Ocean City, NJ municipal government has approved The Soleil, a six-story, 111-unit condo-hotel resort development at 1101 Ocean Avenue that will be the city’s largest project in the works for many years. The city is situated in the far reaches of the Philadelphia metropolitan area on the Jersey shore, and is a popular tourist destination. A swimming pool, as well as a cafe/deli will also be incorporated with the building. A structured parking garage will be available for The Soleil, as well as the neighboring Flanders Hotel, one of the city’s tallest buildings.

Construction Progresses at the Riddle Hospital Expansion in Media, PA

Construction work is progressing rapidly on the expansion for Riddle Hospital, situated at 1068 West Baltimore Pike in Media, PA, a town located in Delaware County outside of Philadelphia. The patient pavilion will offer 76 private patient rooms, as well as a new main entrance to the hospital complex. In total, the building will hold 230,000 square feet of space, with large portions of the space designated for an operating facility as well as a large maternity care area. The project comes with a $327 million price tag.
