A recent site visit by Philly YIMBY has noted that construction is complete at a block-long, 58-unit residential development at 620 Moore Street in Wharton, South Philadelphia. Designed by CANNOdesign, the primarily residential project will consist of three adjoining buildings, each rising four stories. The site spans from Moore Street to the north to South 6th Street to the east and South 7th Street to the west, with a 52-unit apartment building, articulated as separate independent structures, taking up the majority of the lot. At the street corners, two mixed-use buildings will each hold a commercial space at the ground floor and three residences on the floors above.

A recent site visit by Philadelphia YIMBY has noted that construction work is complete at a nine-story parking garage for the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center at 3800 Powelton Avenue in University City, West Philadelphia. Designed and engineered by Pennoni and THA Consulting, the massive structure will span 481,702 square feet and offer parking for 1,483 cars and 129 bicycles, as well as ground-level commercial space. Permits list HSC Builders & Construction as the contractor and a construction cost of $46.4 million.

Philly YIMBY’s recent site visit has observed that construction continues to advance at a seven-story, 128-unit mixed-use development at 4240 Chestnut Street in Spruce HillWest Philadelphia. Designed by DAS Architects, the structure is located on the south side of the block between South 42nd and South 43rd streets. The development will span 141,928 square feet, of which nearly 40,000 square feet will be used as office. Apartment sizes will likely average at just below 800 square feet each. Permits list Intercultural Family Services as the owner, Morris Clarke as the design professional, and HC Pody Company as the contractor. Construction costs are listed at $15.3 million.
