The area to the west of the 30th Street Station in University City, West Philadelphia, is expanding significantly, where the 14-acre Schuylkill Yards project is underway. 3025 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, the latest tower rising in the area, has reached a new milestone as curtain wall assembly has begun. Designed by the Practice for Architecture and Urbanism and developed by Brandywine Realty Trust, the skyscraper will rise to a height of 361 feet and 28 stories.

In University City, West Philadelphia, a new cluster of towers ascends, joining the skyline just to the west of Center City. Of these, the largest development currently underway is just to the west of the 30th Street Station, dubbed Schuylkill Yards. Located at 3025 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, the first tower of the 14-acre project (also known as Schuylkill Yards West) is now popping into view from various areas. Designed by the Practice for Architecture and Urbanism and developed by Brandywine Realty Trust, the 326-unit tower will eventually stand at a height of 361 feet and 28 stories and will hold lab and office space on the lower floors and residential units above.

The West Philadelphia skyline continues to transform as construction at the high-rise at 3025 John F. Kennedy Boulevard (also known as Schuylkill Yards West) in University Cityis making significant progress. The tower is a part of a 14-acre mega-project dubbed Schuylkill Yards, which features a number of proposed buildings, including a potential supertall. The building is on its way to rising to its full height of 361 feet, with a structure soon comprised of 28 floors. Designed by the Practice for Architecture and Urbanism and developed by Brandywine Realty Trust, the tower will feature 326-units along with office and lab space and a park between the building and Schuylkill Yards East, another high-rise building proposed next door.

Of these, one of the most significant is the 361-foot-tall, 28-story mixed-use tower currently rising at 3025 John F. Kennedy Boulevard. The structure is a part of the 14-acre mega-project that will change the West Philadelphia skyline, and is the latest phase in the project’s construction since the renovation of the Bulletin Building.

The 361-foot tall high-rise is also known as Schuylkill Yards West. Located to the northwest of the Bulletin Building, the 28-story tower will soon join Evo and the FMC Tower on the local skyline. The building is designed by the Practice for Architecture and Urbanism, which had also designed 3001 John F. Kennedy Boulevard (aka Schuylkill Yards East) and the Bulletin Building renovation. Brandywine Realty Trust is the developer behind both the building and the entire 14-acre complex.

Philly YIMBY Presents Up-To-Date Massing Renderings of Schuylkill Yards in University City, West Philadelphia

In West Philadelphia, a major project is bound to change University City in a dramatic way. Developed by developed by Brandywine Realty Trust, Schuylkill Yards includes one building that has already been completed, with the rest in the beginning stages of construction or site preparation. The project, located next to 30th Street Station, has a master plan with multiple buildings, though only four have had their final designs released to the public. The completed Bulletin Building renovation, the 512-foot-tall and 3001 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, and the the 361-foot-tall 3025 John F. Kennedy Boulevard were designed by the Practice for Architecture and Urbanism, while the 226-foot-tall 3151 Market Street was designed by SHoP Architects. The below massing renderings were designed by Philly YIMBY to illustrate the impact of the buildings on the future skyline.

The building is designed by the Practice for Architecture and Urbanism, which has also designed the red Schuylkill Yards tower that will stand to the west at 3001 John F. Kennedy Boulevard. Once topped out, the tower will have a major presence on the skyline as the fourth tallest building in West Philadelphia.
