Permits have been issued for the construction of a 15-unit mixed-use building at 2400 Frankford Avenue in Fishtown, Kensington. Designed by CANNOdesign and developed by Khosla Properties, the building will rise four stories tall, with a commercial space on the ground floor and 15 residential units above. Five bicycle spaces will also be included in the project. In total, the building will hold 17,972 square feet of space and cost an estimated $2.6 million to build. Tester Construction is listed as the contractor.

Construction work continues to progress steadily at The Maven, a 28-unit mixed-use development rising at 1533 Ridge Avenue in Francisville, North Philadelphia. Designed by CANNOdesign and developed by Khosla Properties, the building rises five stories tall, with a commercial space on the ground floor. Residential units situated above, consisting of studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. Tester Construction is the general contractor. In total, the building holds 23,665 square feet of space. Construction costs are estimated at $3.9 million.

The zoning board has approved Laurel Ridge, a multi-family development located at 3883 Ridge Avenue in Allegheny West, North Philadelphia. Designed by CANNOdesign and developed by Argo Property Group, the project will consist of 22 townhouses, each featuring a garage and a roof decks.

Exterior construction work is making steady progress on 2601 Poplar Street, a 108-unit mixed-use development in Fairmount, North Philadelphia. Designed by CANNOdesign, the building rises four stories tall, with approximately 12,000 square feet of retail space planned for the ground floor and 51 parking spaces.

Renderings Revealed for 2400-04 Frankford Avenue in Fishtown

Rendering have been revealed for a 16-unit mixed-use development at 2400-04 Frankford Avenue in Fishtown, Kensington. Designed by Canno Design and developed by Khosla Properties, the new building will rise four stories tall, with a retail space on the ground floor and residential units above. The building will boast a stately exterior, comprised entirely of gray brick. Throughout the façade, rows and columns of bricks project forward, creating a unique texture on the building. The southeast corner of the building will be rounded, creating a fluid look that will accentuate the intersection.

Canno Design is behind the architectural work for the project, with Khosla Properties developing it, and Tester Construction taking up the contracting work. The building will offer 11,130 square feet of commercial space at the ground floor, 31 parking spaces, and 50 spaces for bicycles. Designed by CANNOdesign, the project which will hold 152,635 square feet of space and cost an estimated $20 million to build.
