Construction has been completed at 1331 South Juniper Street, a four-story mixed-use building in Passyunk SquareSouth Philadelphia. Designed by Moto Designshop and developed by High Top Real Estate and Development, the project consists of a three-story addition atop a single-story brick structure. The new building provides 18 residential units along with ground-floor commercial space and roof deck that offers views of the skyline. The pet-friendly building offers rental units ranging from one to two bedrooms with washers/dryers in every apartment.

A Look at the Lobby of the Comcast Technology Center, Philadelphia’s Tallest Building

The Comcast Technology Center at 1800 Arch Street in Center City is both the tallest building and one of the largest structures in Philadelphia, standing 1,121 feet tall and spanning over 1.5 million square feet of interior space. Completed in 2017, the supertall stands 60 stories high and features office space on its lower floors and a hotel on its upper levels, with an observation deck at the top. The project was developed by Liberty Property Trust and designed by Foster and Partners, with Thornton Tomasetti behind the structural design and LF Driscoll as the contractor. Gensler crafted the exquisite and sometimes bizarre interior of the main lobby, with an architectural style well-suited for the modern workforce and the general public alike. Construction work is nearly complete at the five-story, 28-unit rental building at 171 West Berks Street in Norris Square. Designed by Ambit Architecture, the building will feature ground-level retail and residential amenities such as a fitness center, bicycle storage, and nine parking spaces. The roof deck will offer a lounge area, a dog park, yoga space, and sweeping skyline views. At the moment, the structure appears effectively finished, although the ground-level retail space has not yet opened.

Construction Nears Finish at The Block at SoNo at 456 North 5th Street in Northern Liberties

Construction is rapidly approaching completion at The Block At SoNo, a 49-unit mixed-use rental development at 456 North 5th Street in Northern Liberties, North Philadelphia. Designed by ISA Architects and developed by Alliance HP and Callahan Ward, the project is situated half a block south of Spring Garden Street in Southern Northern Liberties (aka SoNo, hence the building name). The four-story building will feature three commercial spaces on the ground floor, 40 apartments, nine live-work units, a shared lounge, and both shared and private roof decks. A recent site visit by Philadelphia YIMBY revealed that the structure is very close to completion, with exterior work almost entirely finished and finishing touches in progress around the development.
