Trolley service is planned to return to the Richmond and Westmoreland Street loop in Port Richmond, Kensington, after a long hiatus due to construction. The loop is the terminus of the route 15 line, which runs primarily along Girard Avenue from Kensington through North Philadelphia and on to West Philadelphia.
A zoning permit has been issued for the construction of a single-family structure at 2245 East William Street in Port Richmond, Kensington. The building will rise on the northeast side of a rapidly developing block between Trenton Avenue and Tulip Street, next to a set of seven proposed single-family structures, which we covered in yesterday’s post. The building will have a footprint of 497 square feet and will include a roof deck. Carlos Gonzalez is the listed owner.
Zoning permits have been issued for the construction of seven single-family structures at 2231-2243 East William Street in Port Richmond, Kensington. The buildings will replace a large vacant site on the northeast side of a block between Trenton Avenue and Tulip Street. Each structure will span a footprint of 700 square feet and a roof deck accessed via a pilot house. William Street Development LL [sic] is the listed owner for all properties.
Permits have been filed for the construction of a three-story single-family structure at 2067 East Orleans Street in Port Richmond, Kensington. The property is situated on the east side of the block that is located between Frankford Avenue and Amber Street. The building will have a footprint that spans 825 square feet. 2545 Front Street Holdings LLC is the listed owner. Larry Farkas, P.E. is the design professional. The total cost of work is listed at $236,000.
Permits have been issued for a four-story, 10-unit residential building at 2966-68 Richmond Street in Port Richmond, Kensington. Designed by KJO Architecture, the development will feature rental apartments and a commercial space on the ground floor. Construction costs are estimated at $1.6 million.
