Superstructure Rises at 1429-31 Federal Street in Point Breeze, South Philadelphia

A recent site visit by Philly YIMBY has revealed that construction is making progress at a four-story, 42-unit mixed-use residential and commercial development at 1429-31 Federal Street in Point BreezeSouth Philadelphia. The development rises on the north side of the block between South Broad Street and South 15th Street. Designed by Vincent Mancini, the development will span 34,668 square feet and feature retail space at the ground floor, a green roof, and parking for 14 bicycles. Permits list Top Gun Enterprises as the contractor and a construction cost of $3.8 million.

Permits have been issued for the construction of a parking garage at 1201 Normandy Place in The Navy YardSouth Philadelphia. Designed by DIGSAU, the new building will rise six stories tall, with commercial space on the ground floor that will span 11,882 square feet. The structure will hold a total over 240,000 square feet with 661 parking spaces. Construction costs are estimated at $20 million.

Completion Nears at 1422 Point Breeze Avenue in Point Breeze, South Philadelphia

In March, Philly YIMBY has reported that façade work is nearing completion at a four-story, 42-unit mixed-use building at 1422 Point Breeze Avenue in Point BreezeSouth Philadelphia. Our latest visit has shown minor new construction progress over the course of the past two months, with the building still inching toward completion. Designed by JKRP Architects and developed by OCF Realty, the building spans 43,400 square feet and includes ground-floor retail space that will contribute to the existing commercial corridor along the avenue. Other features include an elevator, a roof deck, resident storage in the basement, and full sprinkling. Permits list G & M Efestos Contracting Inc. as the contractor and a construction cost of $7 million.
