Permits have been issued for the construction of a four-story, seven-unit residential building at 1621-23 Bainbridge Street in Graduate Hospital, South Philadelphia. The structure will replace the New Day Spring Baptist Church, located in a two-story townhouse at 1621 Bainbridge Street, as well as a tree-story residential townhouse next door at 1623 Bainbridge Street. The site is located on the north side of the block between South 16th Street and South 17th Street, two short blocks south of the commercial corridor at South Street. Permits continue to list the church as the site owner (annotated as “Baptist Church TRS of New Day Spring”). Gabriel Deck of Gnome Architects LLC is the architect and Zatos Investment, doing business as “Owner,” is the listed contractor.

Construction is making rapid progress at Innovator Village at 2401 Washington Avenue in Graduate Hospital, South Philadelphia. Upon completion, the development will hold 90 residential units, a mixture of townhomes, duplexes, quadplexes and apartments in a 56-unit mixed-use structure. Permits have been issued for the construction of a multi-family building at 1507 Christian Street in Graduate Hospital, South Philadelphia. Designed by Gnome Architects and developed by Zatos Investments, the building will stand four stories tall and feature a roof deck. Five luxury condos will be situated within the project. The building will offer 6,168 square feet of space and cost an estimated $375,000 to build. YIMBY first shared the project with readers in January when a rendering was revealed.

The development will hold 36,336 square feet of space and cost an estimated $3,633,600 to build.
