Revised Design Revealed for 1101 Walnut Street in Washington Square West, Center City

A revised design has been revealed for a high-rise tower planned at 1101 Walnut Street in Market EastCenter City. Designed by JKRP Architects, the revised plan will rise 18 stories and include 198 residential units, with a total of 138,150 square feet of space, located on the second, third, and fifth through eighteenth floors. The ground floor will hold 4,420 square feet of retail space and the fourth floor will offer 6,281 square feet of office and amenity space. The project will also include 34 off-site parking spaces, as well as 68 bicycle spaces.

Permits Issued for 247-Unit Mixed-Use Development at 2101 Washington Avenue in Graduate Hospital, South Philadelphia

Permits have been issued for the construction of a 247-unit mixed-use development at 2101 Washington Avenue in Graduate HospitalSouth Philadelphia. Designed by JKRP Architects and developed by OCF Realty, the structure will rise six stories tall. Two large commercial spaces will be located on the ground floor, one at 21st Street and the other at 22nd Street. Amenities will include a roof deck and an underground parking garage for residents. In total, the building will hold 195,131 square feet of space. Construction costs estimated at $40 million.

Renderings Revealed for 1100 Wharton Street in Passyunk Square, South Philadelphia

Renderings have been revealed for a large mixed-use development located at 1100 Wharton Street in Passyunk SquareSouth Philadelphia. Designed by JKRP Architects and developed by the Alterra Property Group, the complex includes several buildings. The largest will be a new mixed-use structure totaling 162,335 square feet of space, with a 4,000-square-foot roof deck. Residential amenity space and a commercial unit will be located on the ground floor, with 155 residential units on the upper floors. Other existing buildings in the block are a 71,360-square-foot mixed-use building with 45 residential units, a 18,616-square-foot police station, and a 51,010-square-foot office building. A new fire station is also planned to be built as part of the development. In total, 239 parking spaces will be offered for occupants of the block, with 62 in the basement level of the mixed-use building, 94 surface spaces in the center of the block, and 83 off-site spaces.
