Designed by Gnome Architects (with the original design done by Bright Common), the building will rise five stories tall and include a commercial space on the ground floor. In total, 19,830 square feet of space will be located within the structure, with construction costs estimated at $2,328,307.

Looking At 1BRKS, an Under-Construction Mixed-Use Development in Fishtown

1BRKS is a multi-building development located by the elevated Market-Frankford Line on Front Street. The development is situated at the intersection of Olde Kensington and Fishtown, two vibrant and rapidly developing neighborhoods. Designed by Cosica Moos Architects, the project will add a major destination to the area with 26,000 square feet of retail space. A cafe, brewery, distillery, and beauty salon are some of the tenants already lined up. The development will also include significant residential space within three newly constructed buildings, all of which have already received permits.

Permits have been issued for the renovation of a 103-unit multi-family development at 1700-06 North Howard Street in Olde Kensington. Designed by Coscia Moos, the structure will rise six stories, with commercial space on the ground floor, a roof deck, 35 parking spaces, and 50 bicycle spaces. In total, the building will hold 90,405 square feet of space and cost an estimated $13.79 million to build.

Construction Progresses at Liberty Square in Olde Kensington

Construction has made significant progress at Liberty Square in Olde Kensington. Designed by HDO Architecture, the project will hold 201 residential units within three buildings. Two of the three buildings have reached completion, while the third along American Street is still progressing. 156 underground parking spaces will be included in the development, as well as a decorated plaza/courtyard in the center of the development. 10,000 square feet of retail space is also included in the project.

Permits have been issued for the construction of a new mixed use development at 175 West Oxford Street in the neighborhood of Olde Kensington. Upon completion, the new building will stand six floors tall, with multiple commercial spaces set to occupy a large portion of the building. Additionally, 128 residential units will be included in the development, and it will also feature a green roof. An accessory parking garage will serve residents and attract more interest to the development. In total, the structure will hold 109,561 square feet of space and cost an estimated $11 million to build.
