Renderings have been revealed for a 204-unit mixed-use development at 1700 North Front Street in FishtownKensington. Designed by NORR, the building will rise five stories tall and will feature 172,844 square feet of interior space, with 123,218 residential square feet, an additional 5,264 square feet of space reserved for amenities, and a ground-floor commercial space spanning 16,429 square feet. The residences will include 28 studios, 141 one-bedroom, and 35 two-bedroom units. The development will also include 70 bicycle spaces.

Construction Progresses at Northbank on the Delaware River Waterfront in Fishtown, Kensington

Construction has made significant progress at Northbank, a large development underway at 2001 Beach Street on the Delaware River waterfront in Fishtown, Kensington. The project replaces a massive vacant swathe of land with a mixed-use complex that will act as a mini-neighborhood of its own. In total, the project will contain just under 900 residential units. The development will be anchored by two large mixed-use buildings and will also include 254 townhouses and 104 stacked homes.

Permits Issued for 15-Unit Building at 2401-05 Frankford Avenue in Fishtown

Permits have been issued for the construction of a 15-unit mixed-use building at 2401-05 Frankford Avenue in Fishtown, Kensington. Designed by Ambit Architecture, the building will rise four stories tall. A commercial space will be situated on the ground floor, with residential units situated above, topped with a green roof. Decks will also be included on the third and fourth floors, as well as five bicycle spaces for building residents. In total, the building will hold 14,560 square feet of space and cost an estimated $2.05 million to build. Grit Construction is handling the contractor work.
