YIMBY Shares New Renderings for Broad + Pine in Washington Square West, Center City

Last month, YIMBY shared images of the updated, scaled-down design for Broad + Pine, a high-rise development proposed at 337-41 South Broad Street (alternately 337 South Broad Street) in Washington Square WestCenter City. Designed by My Arch and developed by Dranoff Properties, the tower will rise 15 stories tall and hold 145,220 square feet of space, with ground-floor commercial space and 91 residential units, as well as an 11,995-square-foot parking with space for 18 cars. Philadelphia YIMBY Observes Decorative Lighting at One Liberty Place in Center City

As the nighttime Philadelphia skyline is becoming brighter with new projects featuring decorative lighting, One Liberty Place has also made its mark on the dark night sky. Located at 1650 Market Street in Center City, the skyscraper was constructed 1987 and rises to a height of 945 feet and 61 floors. The tower was designed by Helmut Jahn of Murphy/Jahn and developed by Willard Rouse of Rouse and Associates. The structural design was crafted by Thornton Tomasetti and the tower was constructed by LF Driscoll between 1985 and 1987, with The Lighting Practice as the new contractor for the lights. Cladding Nearly Complete at Arthaus in Washington Square West, Center City

The exterior is nearly complete at Arthaus at 311 South Broad Street, one of the tallest condominium buildings in Philadelphia. The new skyscraper, located in the Washington Square West neighborhood of Center City, rises to a height of 542 feet and 47 stories. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Dranoff Properties, the tower will feature 108 condo units and already makes a dramatic impact on the Philadelphia skyline, as it it situated in a prominent location close to various landmarks along Broad Street.

YIMBY Shares Detailed Coverage of Topping-Out Ceremony for Jefferson Specialty Care Pavilion in Market East, Center City

Earlier this month, YIMBY shared the news of topping-out of the Jefferson Specialty Care Pavilion at 1101 Chestnut Street in Market EastCenter City, one of the most prominent buildings currently rising into the Philadelphia skyline. Designed by Ennead Architects and Stantec and developed by Jefferson Health and National Real Estate Development, with LF Driscoll and Hunter Roberts Construction Group joint venture acting as contractors, the building comprises the bulk of East Market Phase 3, the final component of the mixed-use, multi-block East Market development. As of February 1st, the steel-framed structure has officially reached its final height of 364 feet and 23 stories (19 stories if excluding mechanical floors). The $762 million medical facility will be the single largest real estate investment in Jefferson’s nearly 200-year history and will offer ample cutting-edge equipment. Excavation Nearly Complete at 1620 Sansom Street in Rittenhouse Square, Center City

Construction looks ready to begin at the foundation of the 315-foot-tall, 28-story tower planned at 1620 Sansom Street, where excavation work will soon be complete. The residential tower will rise in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood of Center City, three blocks to the south of Liberty Place. Designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz, which has designed The Laurel Rittenhouse and The Murano, and developed by Southern Land Company, which is also behind The Laurel, the project will consist of retail and residential space, with 306 units to be located inside the skyscraper.
