Façade work is nearing completion on The Columbia, a five-story, 17-unit development located at 1421-23 Columbia Avenue in Fishtown, Kensington. Designed by Coscia Moos Architecture and developed by Khosla Properties, the project features over 19,000 square feet of floor space and a mixture of studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments, as well as five parking spaces and a roof deck that offers stunning views of the skyline.

80-Unit Mixed-Use Building Approved for 101 South 3rd Street in Easton, Pennsylvania

An 11-story, 80-unit mixed-use tower has earned unanimous municipal approval at 101 South 3rd Street in Easton, Pennsylvania, a small city bordering the Delaware River on the northern outskirts of the greater Philadelphia metropolitan region. Designed by SITIO Architects, the development will include ground floor retail and office space spread throughout the tower. The existing low-rise bank building at the site will be renovated and extended all the way to 3rd Street, creating a denser, urban design. The project will include a promenade and a pocket park.

The Fairview is Complete at 2616 West Girard Avenue in Brewerytown, North Philadelphia

Construction is now complete on The Fairview, a five-story mixed-use development at 2616 West Girard Avenue in Brewerytown, North Philadelphia. The building brings a 2,010-square-foot ground floor retail space and 14 residential units into the neighborhood, as well as a 1,250-square-foot basement. The building is designed by CANNOdesign and developed by Argo Property Group, which has recently proposed another mixed-use building at the opposite end of the block at 2600 Girard Avenue, which Philly YIMBY reported on yesterday. Tester Construction is the project contractor.

The development rises six stories and includes 36 luxury condos, with a mix between one- and two-bedrooms. The ground floor will feature 3,000 square feet of retail space. Residents will have access to a total of 14 parking spaces as well as a storage unit for each condo, located in the cellar of the building. A rooftop deck will offer nearly 2,000 square feet of patio space and boasting great views of the skyline. Trinity Realty Companies is the developer.

Permits Filed for a 46-Unit Mixed-Use Development at 1200 Ridge Avenue in Poplar, North Philadelphia

Permits have been filed for the construction of a 46-unit mixed-use development at 1200 Ridge Avenue in Poplar, North Philadelphia. The building will rise from a 10,620-square-foot footprint and yield 60,404 square feet of space. A commercial space will take up the entire ground floor, and the basement will be allocated to amenities such as parking space for 13 cars and 24 bicycles. A roof deck will be located atop the sixth floor at the summit of the structure, and will provide panoramic views of the skyline. The contractor listed for the project is HC Pody Company. An estimated $6 million will be spent on construction.

Renderings Revealed for a Massive Development at 2621-67 Frankford Avenue in East Kensington

Just under two days ago, Harman Deutsch Ohler Architecture revealed the renderings for a massive residential development proposed at 2621-67 Frankford Avenue in East Kensington. The firm showcased the design a series of renderings, which are part of a package submitted to the city for a Civic Design Review, via Instagram, without any additional details. At the moment, little is known about the development’s latest design iteration, except that the the building, developed by Grand Street Development, will rise six stories, include ground-level retail, and hundreds of residential units, making it one of the largest proposals in the area.
