Permits Filed for Rear Extension at 2013 Brown Street in Fairmount, North Philadelphia

Permits have been filed at 2013 Brown Street in the Fairmount neighborhood in North Philadelphia. The permit calls for a three-story rear addition for the existing three-story, pre-war row home at the site. The addition will include a roof deck that will open onto sweeping views of the city. The property is owned by Nathaniel Lewis and is located one lot away from the corner of Brown Street and North Capital Street.

East Market Phase 3 Towers Prepare For Foundation Work After Site Clearance

Jefferson Health has already made a great impact on the Market East neighborhood in Center City, yet the campus keeps expanding. In December 2017, the hospital has announced a major lease at 1101 Market Street, long known as the Aramark Tower. The expansion continues as Jefferson is planning a 400-foot Jefferson Health Care Specialty Care Pavilion at 1101 Chestnut Street with 750,000 square feet of medical office space, as well as a 329-foot-tall proposal next door at 1153 Chestnut Street, slated to contain 250,000 square feet of residential space. The two towers, collectively known as East Market Phase 3, will replace a block-spanning, mid-rise commercial and garage structure, which has been recently demolished. Possible New Building Design Surfaces at 2120 Market Street, Center City

Rumors about development at the lot at 2100 Market Street at the boundary of Rittenhouse Square and Center City West have circulated for a long time, with the site being perfectly suited for a new tower. Though there has been no official announcement from Brandywine Realty Trust, the company website shows a project rendering as part of a greater graphic. The new tower will sit on a lot that measures nearly 29,000 square feet.
