Construction Underway On The Bordeaux In Brewerytown

Construction is underway at The Bordeaux, a 16-unit mixed-use development at 2600 West Gerard Avenue in BrewerytownNorth Philadelphia. Upon completion, the building will rise five stories tall with a 3,500 square foot retail space in the ground floor. Amenities will include bike and tenant storage as well as a roof deck that will likely offer sweeping skyline views. Argo Property Group is developing the property.  The design was by Ambit Architecture and it will be built by  Tester Construction. In total, the building will have 20,938 square feet of space.

The fence that surrounds the site of the Broad and Noble, a 344-unit project planned at 435-43 North Broad Street in Callowhill, North Philadelphia, has received new signage that refers to the Hunter Roberts Construction Group, the building contractor. Designed by Barton Partners and developed by Toll Brothers, the building will rise 231 feet and 19 stories and will feature a brick exterior that sets back from Broad Street. The while the inside will feature along with amenity space, retail, and underground parking.

Concrete work has reached ground level at LVL North, a nine-story, 410-unit development under construction at 510 North Broad Street in Spring Garden, North Philadelphia. Designed by JKRP Architects and developed by the Alterra Property Group, the project will include a retail component, with the GIANT supermarket planned to lease one-third of the total space inside the 378,000-square-foot building.

YIMBY Tours the Piazza Terminal in Northern Liberties, North Philadelphia

Philly YIMBY recently went on a construction site visit to the Piazza Terminal, a mixed-use mega-development underway at 1075 Germantown Avenue in Northern Liberties, North Philadelphia. Designed by the BKV Group, the project will contain three main towers, interconnected by lower structures. The complex is being developed by the Post Brothers, which owns the Atlantic Building at 1401 Spruce Street and is also finishing work on The Poplar Apartments. The development’s 1,144 units will greatly expand the amount of residential space available in the area, while its substantial public space will improve the local pedestrian experience.
