Renderings and Diagrams Revealed for 700-730 Delaware Avenue, Northern Liberties

Philadelphia-based JKRP Architects have recently submitted a Civic Design Review presentation that illustrates the proposed mixed-use complex at 700-730 Delaware Avenue in the Northern Liberties neighborhood in North Philadelphia, near the Delaware River waterfront. The complex consists of two seven-story buildings, 700-730 Delaware Avenue and 711-735 Front Street, containing retail and parking on the lower floors, with residences above.

Permits Filed at 1509 West Cumberland Street Near Temple University in North Philadelphia

A zoning permit has been filed for the construction of a new structure at 1509 West Cumberland Street on the northern outskirts of the Temple University area in North Philadelphia. The filing follows a permit filed in December 2019 calling for the demolition of the three-story pre-war rowhouse at the site, which has sat abandoned for at least a decade. Rich and Vis Investments is listed as the owner.

Permits Filed For Vertical Extension at Seven-Story Building at 330-48 North 12th Street

A zoning permit has been filed for a vertical extension atop a multi-story pre-war factory loft at at 330-48 North 12th Street (also known as 330-340 North 12th Street), just north of Center City in the up-and-coming Rail Park District in North Philadelphia. The three-story extension would rise above the lower, five-story wing of the sprawling, seven-story structure situated between North 12th Street to the east, Carlton Street to the south, and Callowhill Street to the north. The proposal is the latest addition to a rapidly-growing neighborhood around the elevated Rail Park, where an abandoned railroad turned into a public space has often been likened to Philadelphia’s answer to New York City’s ever-popular High Line.
