The facade has risen above the halfway point at Riverwalk South, located at 60 North 23rd Street in Center City West. Designed by Gensler and developed by the PMC Property Group, the building is part of the two-towered, 711-unit Riverwalk complex and rises 362 feet and 32 stories. The structure will hold 380 residential units and feature a pleasant shade of glazed glass, with black metal highlights rippling in the light throughout the day.

Construction Underway at EEW-AOS, Nation’s Largest Offshore Wind Manufacturing Facility, in Gloucester County, NJ

The ongoing development boom in the greater Philadelphia region is not limited to new buildings sprouting around the city, nor is it even constrained to the surrounding towns and suburbs within the metropolitan area. In a way, it extends well into the Atlantic Ocean, where massive wind farms are on the drawing boards off the coast of southern New Jersey. A major milestone for local renewable energy has just been reached, as construction is now underway at the Phase 1 of the EEW-AOS monopile manufacturing facility at the Port of Paulsboro Marine Terminal in Gloucester County, NJ, located on the Delaware River across from the Philadelphia International Airport. The facility, the largest of its kind in the United States, will be used to assemble monopiles, which are gargantuan cylindrical supports for wind turbines.

Located on the southeast side of the block between East Birch Street and East Orleans Street, the building will rise from a 1,300-square-foot footprint and will hold 3,374 square feet of interior space. The program consists of commercial space and two residential units. Features include full sprinkling and a roof deck, which promises to offer sweeping skyline views. Floor plans have been recently revealed for Ultra Labs University City at 125 North 32nd Street in University City, West Philadelphia. Developed by the Republic Properties and Scheer Partners, the structure will rise 190 feet and 19 stories tall and will contain 185,279 square feet of interior space. The mixed-use building will combine laboratory and office space, joining the many lab buildings located throughout University City.

Permits Issued for Renovation at 260 West Johnson Street in Germantown, Northwest Philadelphia

Permits have been issued for interior renovations of 260 West Johnson Street in Germantown, Northwest Philadelphia. The project will create six residential units within the existing three-story structure. An additional apartment will be added within a carriage house also located on the property, adding a total of seven units to the lot. Greenzang Incorporated is the contractor for the project. Construction costs are estimated at $170,000.

Developed by Zatos Investments, the building stands next to Southbridge Condos Phase One, which is bringing six residential units to the market, making for a combined 13 units between the two phases.

Philadelphia offers a great number of that showcase the growing skyline. Though photographers always seek a new perspective of the skyline, the time-tested, iconic spots are still available to capture for the sake of the beauty in frame that has been captured for multiple years. On the list, the most iconic spots include the walkways of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the view from Spring Garden Street Bridge, and lastly the South Street Bridge view. Today, we observe the skyline from the South Street Bridge, which puts multiple new developments in the spotlight.
