Conversion Work Underway at The Terrace On 18th Street in Logan Square, Center City

Renovation work continues at the the 27-story hotel-to-residential conversion at Terrace on 18th Street at 1776 Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Logan Square, Center City. Designed by Oskar Stonorov of Korman Co., the tower was completed in 1963 as an apartment building. In the mid=1980s it was converted into the Embassy Suites by Hilton Philadelphia Center City, around the same time as the Embassy Suites at Philadelphia International Airport also opened with a similar design. The tower is now owned by Pearl Properties, which is also responsible for The Harper and 113-121 South 19th Street. The conversion was designed by DAS Architecture, and exterior renderings are provided by Gabe Lui Architectural Renderings.

Plans and Renderings Released for Torresdale Manor Residences at 3600 Grant Avenue in Torresdale, Northeast Philadelphia

A set of updated plans and renderings has been released for Torresdale Manor Residences, a townhouse development proposed at 3600 Grant Avenue in Torresdale, Northeast Philadelphia. Designed by Abitare Design Studio, the project will consist of 30 residences, a new roadway, and a green trail along the Byberry Creek that runs through an adjacent golf club. Each townhouse will rise three stories plus a finished basement, and will include three bedrooms and two parking spaces.

Wilmington, DE Reveals 4,291-unit Mixed-Use Riverfront East Master Plan

A master plan has been revealed in Wilmington, the most populous city in the the state of Delaware, located at the southwest periphery of the Philadelphia metro area, for an all-new neighborhood that will transform the Christina River waterfront. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, LLC, the plan, dubbed Riverfront East, will bring 4.7 million square feet of space, which includes 4,291 new residential units as well as 1.9 million square feet of commercial office space. Retail will occupy an additional 357,000 square feet. The development will also include four major green spaces as well as 650 on-street parking spaces and 8,900 spaces in parking garages.

A permit has been issued for the construction of a three-story, three-unit residential building at 667 North 52nd Street in Mill Creek, West Philadelphia. The building will rise from a 915-square-foot footprint and will contain 3,660 square feet of floor space, a cellar, and full sprinkling. Permits list IRA Development LLC as the owner, Maher Abdelaal as the design professional, and Kumas Homes LLC as the contractor.
