A mixed-use development proposed at 1359 Frankford Avenue in Fishtown is going before the Civic Design Review. Designed by NORR, the building will rise four stories tall, with three commercial spaces on the ground floor/basement level along the Frankford Avenue side of the building. The upper floors will hold 61 apartments. There will not be any parking included with he development, though the project will include space for 21 bicycles.

1120 Frankford Avenue Goes Before Civic Design Review In Fishtown

A new mixed-use development called The Frankford, which is proposed at 1120 Frankford Avenue in Fishtown, Kensington, is going before the Civic Design Review. Designed by BLT Architects and developed by US Construction, the new building will rise five stories tall. On the ground floor, there will be 7,166 square feet of commercial space. The building will yield 150 residential units, spanning 83,372 square feet of space. There will not be any car parking included with the project, but the building will offer space for 50 bicycles.

YIMBY Shares an Encore of Construction Photos for The Standard at Philadelphia in University City, West Philadelphia

A few days ago, Philly YIMBY shared a construction update for The Standard At Philadelphia, a 209-foot-tall, 19-story residential tower under construction at 119 South 31st Street in University CityWest Philadelphia. Designed by CUBE 3 and developed by Landmark Properties, the 362,117-square-foot structure will rise from a narrow, through-block lot stretching between South 30th and South 31st streets, and will house 280 residential units geared toward university students. Our recent visit has revealed that on-site demolition has been completed and foundation work is currently in progress. Today we share another look at the construction progress and how it affects the unusual and varied conditions that flank the site on three sides.

Permits have been issued for the construction of a four-story, 47-unit apartment building at 5127 Duffield Street in Frankford, Northeast Philadelphia. The development will replace an overgrown vacant lot at the southern corner of Duffield Street and Pratt Street. Designed by Ruggiero Plante Land Design, the structure will rise 38 feet tall (likely to the main roof, with possible overruns for parapets and bulkheads) and will span 36,708 square feet (or 36,205 square feet, according to the site plan), yielding an average of around 775 square feet per unit. The development will feature full sprinkling and outdoor parking for 13 cars and 16 bicycles. Permits list Gateway Court LP as the owner and Buckley Futures LLC as the contractor. The construction cost is specified at $2.15 million.
