Surface Lot To Be Developed to Condo-Hotel Resort in Ocean City, New Jersey

Ocean City, New Jersey sits 50 miles southwest of Philadelphia, but the beachfront city falls well within the extended Philadelphia area, and its development affects the greater metropolis. Here, the large surface lot at 1101 Ocean Avenue, adjacent to the Flanders Hotel, is set to be developed into a six-story, 111-unit condo resort. The project, dubbed The Soleil Resort, will sit less than a block off of the boardwalk and the beach. Permits Filed For 6552 Germantown Avenue in Mount Airy, Northwest Philadelphia

A permit has been issued for the construction of a four-story structure at 6552 Germantown Avenue in Mount Airy. The building will consist of 10 residential units. It will have easy access to the Chestnut Hill West regional rail line and fronts the busy and frequent 23 bus route. The current site houses a once-attractive row of three homes with vacant retail spaces on the first floor. Those structures are now crumbling and are are possibly no longer salvageable.

Philadelphia-based JKRP Architects have recently submitted a Civic Design Review presentation that illustrates the proposed mixed-use complex at 700-730 Delaware Avenue in the Northern Liberties neighborhood in North Philadelphia, near the Delaware River waterfront. The complex consists of two seven-story buildings, 700-730 Delaware Avenue and 711-735 Front Street, containing retail and parking on the lower floors, with residences above.
