Philadelphia YIMBY Looks at New Developments With Four to Nine Residential Units

The next entry in Philadelphia YIMBY’s ongoing “category spotlight” series, which looks at some of the new article categories we introduced at the start of the year, is the tag that tallies ongoing residential developments with four to nine residential units. This category mostly covers smaller developments that generally rise three to five stories tall. A number of such buildings boutique condominium properties where larger-than-average units result in structures that are rather imposing despite their relatively low unit counts. Construction Imminent at Village Square on Haverford in Mantua, West Philadelphia

At the start of the year, Philly YIMBY announced that partial permits were filed for Village Square on Haverford, a multi-family development at 3611 Haverford Avenue in Mantua, West Philadelphia. Today we look at the renderings for the 166-unit multi-family development that will span several adjacent sites on two blocks bordered by Haverford Avenue to the south, Wallace Street to the north, North 36th Street to the east, and North 39th Street to the west. Designed by WRT and developed by Lomax Real Estate Partners and the Mount Vernon Community Development Corporation, the project will consist of several buildings ranging from three to six stories and will offer retail, a mix of rental and condominium units, green promenades, and public art.

Philadelphia YIMBY Looks at Upcoming Projects With 10 to 50 Residential Units

Philadelphia YIMBY continues its “category spotlight” series, which looks at some of the new article categories we introduced at the start of the year. In the third entry of this mini-series, we look at new residential developments that we have covered so far this year that feature anywhere between 10 to 49 residential units. In general, the category consists of medium-sized apartment buildings that rise anywhere from three to five stories and some townhouse complexes, although there are a few exceptions, such as a very notable one at the Freeman Auction House overbuild. Philadelphia YIMBY Highlights Upcoming Developments With 50 to 100 Residential Units

Yesterday, Philadelphia YIMBY discussed some of the new categories we introduced at the beginning of the year to make our website into a more useful resource of both recent news and as an urban development archive, highlighting a few of the new projects we have covered within the 100-plus-unit category. In this second entry in our category spotlight series, we look at a few of the residential developments with unit counts ranging from 50 to 99. This category consists mostly of sizable mid-rise developments, as well as a few high-rise buildings that tend to fall withing the under-20-story range.
