A recent site visit by Philly YIMBY has revealed that construction is nearly complete at The Onyx, a five-story, 44-unit multi-family rental development at 6618 Ridge Avenue in Roxborough, Northwest Philadelphia. The building spans 48,615 square feet and will include features such as an elevator, a fitness center, a garage, a green roof with a roof deck, and full sprinkling. Permits list Klein & Company Plumbing Inc. as the contractor and a construction cost of $3 million.

Construction Underway at 5542 Ridge Avenue in Manayunk, Northwest Philadelphia

A recent site visit has revealed that excavation is currently underway at a three-story, 50-unit mixed-use building at 5542-44 Ridge Avenue in Roxborough, Northwest Philadelphia. The building will span 45,500 square feet and feature commercial space on the ground floor as well as multiple roof decks. Construction costs are listed at $6.8 million.

A recent site visit by Philly YIMBY has revealed that construction is nearing completion at The Azalea, a five-story, 50-unit multi-family development at 6604 Ridge Avenue in Roxborough, Northwest Philadelphia. Designed by M Architects and developed by Stamm Development, with Tester Construction Group as the contractor, the building spans 44,625 square feet and will include features such as a fitness center, a garage, and full sprinkling. Permits list Bohler Engineering as the design professional and a construction cost of $8.25 million.

Permits Issued for 4921 Chester Avenue in Kingsessing, West Philadelphia

Permits have been issued for the construction of a six-unit multi-family structure at 4921 Chester Avenue in Kingsessing, West Philadelphia. Designed by CANNOdesign, the new building will rise three stories tall. In total, the structure will offer 4,711 square feet of interior space. Permits list construction at just shy of $590,000.

Philadelphia YIMBY Shares Skyline Massings of Two-Tower Virgin Hotel Proposed in Rittenhouse Square, Center City

For years, Philadelphia YIMBY has published in-house-made skyline massings, of old developments and new proposals alike, and today we bring another project to our readers. Recently, images of a new Virgin Hotels development proposal have surfaced, showing two new buildings at 500 South Broad Street in Rittenhouse Square Center City. Shown in renderings are a taller tower standing 36 floors and a shorter tower rising 23 stories. The project is being designed by Skidmore Owings and Merrill and developed by The Badger Group, Dranoff Properties, The Goldenberg Group LLC, and Virgin Hotels, which will have their logo displayed on the north tower. Renderings Revealed for 2507 Almond Street in Olde Richmond, North Philadelphia

Renderings have been revealed for a 155-unit multi-family development at 2507 Almond Street in Olde Richmond, Kensington. Designed by HDO Architecture, the building, which is going before the Civic Design Review, will rise six stories tall and will hold 65 parking spaces, three of which being ADA-compliant and four designed for electric vehicles. There will also be 60 interior bicycle stalls, as well as five more on the sidewalk.

A recent Philly YIMBY site visit has confirmed that construction has been completed at a three-story, three-unit residential structure at 1854 North 17th Street in the Cecil B. Moore neighborhood in North Philadelphia. Alfa Engineering Inc. is the listed design professional and Patel Pankaj is the listed owner of the property, which is located a few blocks west of Temple University. The construction permit specifies Cesar Sanchez of Norwood, PA as the contractor.

Construction Anticipated at 4401 Ridge Avenue in East Falls, Northwest Philadelphia

Construction has not yet begun at a large mixed-use project at 4401 Ridge Avenue in East Falls, Northwest Philadelphia. Designed by Oombra Architects and developed by Atapco Properties, the development will span 178,837 square feet and hold 185 residential units, with 34 studios, 117 one-bedrooms units, and 34 two-bedroom apartments. A total of 4,760 square feet of commercial space will be located on the ground floor on Ridge Avenue, as well as 2,200 square feet of outdoor space. A 8,100-square-foot roof deck and a 3,400-square-foot green roof will be located atop the building. The project will also offer parking for 189 cars and 62 bicycles.
