Renderings have been revealed for a large 115-unit multi-family development at 801 North 19th Street at the so-called Francisville Triangle site in Francisville, North Philadelphia. Designed by NORR, the building will rise five stories tall and will feature will total 104,596 square feet of interior space, with units ranging from 498 to 1,004 square feet. The basement will hold 52 parking spaces for the residents. An amenity area will be situated at the fifth floor.

Foundation work is making progress at Bloc24, an eight-unit building under construction at 613 South 24th Street in Graduate Hospital, South Philadelphia. Designed by Moto Designshop, the building will stand five stories tall and will house a fresh food market on the ground floor. The residential units will all be market-rate.

Renderings have been revealed for a high-rise residential development at 1428-38 Callowhill Street in Callowhill. Designed by j2a Architects, the tower will rise 149 feet and 13 stories tall. The building will include 162 residential with off-street parking and 74 bicycle spaces.

The 20th Century was a key period for development in Philadelphia, with numerous remarkable structures built in the 100-year time period. At the very start of the century, City Hall was finishing construction in the heart of the city, with the William Penn Statue was topped on the structure six years beforehand. The 548-foot masonry structure was completed in 1901. Flashing forward to 1987, an even more massive monolith was finishing construction: One Liberty Place in Center City, which stands 945 feet tall. Philadelphia YIMBY compares the time periods when the two giants dominated the skyline fresh upon completion.

Renderings have been revealed for a 67-unit multi-family development at 1015 South 3rd Street in Queen Village, South Philadelphia. Designed by HDO Architecture, the building will rise four stories tall. The unit count was achieved via zoning bonuses coming from the project’s inclusion of low-income housing and a green roof. The project will include 23 bicycle stalls as well as an additional four more at the sidewalk.

Permits Issued for 14-Unit Building at 1350 North Front Street in Fishtown, Kensington

Permits have been issued for the construction of a 14-unit mixed-use building at 1350 North Front Street in Fishtown, Kensington. Designed by Gnome Architects (with the original design done by Bright Common), the building will rise five stories tall and include a commercial space on the ground floor. In total, 19,830 square feet of space will be located within the structure, with construction costs estimated at $2,328,307.

The new building will rise five stories tall and will feature a cellar, a roof deck, and bicycle storage. In total, the building will hold 20,634 square feet of space, with construction costs estimated at $3.25 million.

Facade work has been completed at the 11-story development at 2100 Hamilton Street in Franklintown (also known as Baldwin Park). Designed by Cecil Baker + Partners and developed by the Bock Development Group, the building stands 115 feet tall and will have 27 condominium units. Situated within a short walk from the Philadelphia Museum of Art and just to the north of the Center City skyscrapers, the project brings a modern look to an area that does not see much new development.
