The structure will replace a vacant lot at the northeast corner of South 4th and Sigel streets. Abazi Enam is the listed owner.
Renderings have been revealed for 619 North Broad Street, a proposed 17-story building in Callowhill, North Philadelphia. The high-rise, designed by Varenhorst Architects and revealed on its website, is planned to stand 275 feet tall and consists of a rectangular five-story podium with an L-shaped section rising above, with a spacious outdoor terrace at the setback. No permits have been filed yet.

A single-story, pre-war warehouse currently spans the lot. Curiously, the permit seems to be a departure from another recent filing issued in late July, which called for the erection of a five-story addition to the existing one-story structure. 2036 Fairmount Ave LLC is the listed owner.

The Durst Organization is proposing to replace a large parking lot at the Delaware River waterfront with a 290-foot, 24-story residential building at 300 North Christopher Columbus Boulevard in Center City. Handel Architects have crafted the structure as a wide, jagged slab facing its broad side toward the river. The development will rise three-quarters as high as the nearby, 385-foot-tall Benjamin Franklin Bridge and will bring much-needed activity to the long-neglected stretch of the waterfront.
